While tourism numbers in Costa Rica continue to rise, the Central American country has announced the addition of a new national airline – Air Costa Rica – making traveling to Costa Rica even easier. Certified to begin operations in the first half of 2015, as designated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Costa Rica’s new national airline will offer additional flights and routes to and from Costa Rica.
The initial destinations of the new Costa Rican airline will be Panama City, Managua, Nicaragua, and Miami.

Costa Rica Even Easier
All initiates for the opening of Air Costa Rica have been or are in the process of being completed. According to the director of that entity, Alvaro Vargas, the necessary operating permits are being obtained and progressing well. Air Costa Rica is also in the process of approving documents, manuals and procedures. In addition, they have a group of pilots being trained in Miami, USA, and mechanics preparing for the opening in Panama, said Vargas. The operation site and training center have been reviewed and approved by Civil Aviation.
Air Costa Rica is the trade name from Ticas Airlines, a company of Air Panama in conjunction with Costa Rican investors. (Amelia Rueda). The airline hopes to increase the ease of travel between these countries while creating an easy opportunity for more people who wish to travel to Costa Rica.
