Join the Action at The Presidential Papagayo Cup – Part of the Premier Sportfishing Circuit of the Americas

The Presidential Papagayo Cup is part of the premier sportfishing circuit of the Americas, the Presidential Challenge Series, which is dedicated to the conservation and protection of billfish and inshore gamefish.

All sportfishing events produced by the Presidential Challenge Series have two goals in mind: promoting sportfishing related tourism and to raise money for charitable organizations who specialize in protecting game fish. These groups include The Billfish Foundation, Adopt-A-Billfish and the International Game Fish Association.

The Presidential Challenge Charitable Foundation, Inc. supports the Adopt-A-Billfish Satellite Tagging Program which has produced cutting edge scientific data on the habits of sailfish and marlin. By participating in the Presidential Papagayo Cup you can help support this program and the tagging and research that will lead the way to effective billfish management in the future.

Special discounts for accommodations in Guanacaste are being offered and some charter boats are still available for this upcoming Costa Rica sportfishing event! Private boats can contact Marina Papagayo directly for slip reservations.

The upcoming dates for the 2014 Presidential Challenge Conservation Series Sportfishing Events are: Presidential Papagayo Cup, June 5-8, 2014; Aruba Caribbean Cup Oct. 16-19, 2014 and the PCCA Guatemala, Nov. Nov. 6-9, 2014.
