According to the Costa Rican Board of Tourism (ICT), new flights to Costa Rica, as well as a new International Airline will be providing international travelers with improved options for flying to Costa Rica by 2015. New flights will be coming to the Central American country from the United States, Europe and South America.
New flights to Costa Rica from California, Texas and Washington have already been confirmed, according to Jean-Marc Bourreau, ICT advisor. In addition, a new flight from Costa Rica to France with a stopover in the Dominican Republic and an additional flight from Costa Rica to Brazil are being organized by international airlines and travel advisors.
Russia is another travel destination with great interest to the Costa Rican Board of Tourism, and the possibility of flights from Costa Rica to Russia are being analyzed.
Southwest Announces International Expansion and Future Flights to

For cost-savvy travelers who enjoy cheap fares, Southwest Airlines will soon be offering flights to Costa Rica. Southwest has set a goal of doubling their international flight offerings and after their acquisition of AirTran, they are one-step closer toward reaching this goal as the new airline acquisition brought with it many short-haul overseas destinations.
Southwest has also announced plans to build a new international terminal in Houston, which is currently underway and will offer flights to Costa Rica from the Houston hub.
